TOOLS GESIPA® ’s PowerBird®
Pro Gold Edition GESIPA states that its PowerBird® Pro Gold Edition is a blind rivet setting tool that sets new standards due to its innovative technology and modern design.
Additional features of the PowerBird Pro Gold Edition include a quick charge function, ergonomic shape, light weight, soft grip, and three light emitting diodes – helping it to handle poor light conditions. www.gesipa.com
P owerBird® Pro Gold Edition features a low-wear brushless
motor that provides a high setting force of 20kN and fast setting frequencies. The operating time of the sliding battery can also be increased by using the braking power.
Yokota introduces E-Wrenches
Dutch air tool distributor Rami Yokota has introduced a new range of E-Wrenches – offering hybrid technology for tightening threaded fasteners.

Tougher and faster cordless range
Hitachi says its power tool 18V 5.0Ah lithium-ion cordless range is tougher, faster and more advanced than any of its predecessors – featuring the latest brushless motor, advanced electronic control technology and high performance lithium-ion batteries.
H
itachi points out the benefits of this technology include 200% more run time per charge than 3.0Ah batteries – while keeping the same size and weight for the tools. In addition, due to the battery design, the cordless range has slim grip
handles that provide even more control and ergonomic comfort for the user. Its slide design also means the tools are fully compatible with the entire Hitachi range of 18V slide lithium-ion batteries. Multi-cell monitoring means every battery cell gets the maximum
charge and with safety and long battery life in mind, Multiplex Protection prevents deep discharge, overloading and overheating when recharging. The 18V 5.0Ah cordless range includes combi, driver and SDS-Plus hammer drills, circular, jigsaw and reciprocating saws, angle grinders, impact drivers and wrenches, automatic screwdrivers and fans.

okota electric system wrenches, with integrated torque transducer and angle sensor, offer a large reduction of energy consumption and a high degree of accuracy and work efficiency,
points out Rami Yokota. The range consists of three different sizes of tools,
with a total torque range between 7.5Nm and 90Nm. Yokota impulse wrenches are widely used for
tightening jobs in the assembly industry, where accurate torque tolerances are necessary. The impulse tools are light, powerful, small and have no kick-back. The new tools have a low weight/torque ratio; high speed fastening; acoustic and LED signals for tightening status indication; an electric (brushless) servo drive – freely RPM adjustable in the controller; hybrid technology; and a 100% check on tightening abnormalities including cross thread and double hit. “Product liability is essential to carmakers, and all
tightened joints have to be correct. For this reason all bolted joints must be counted, documented and tightened with the right clamping force. In order to do this, a user must use an impulse wrench (with a built-in torque transducer and angle encoder on the main shaft) connected to a controller. If the controller establishes that the tightened joints do not meet the specifications, it can give a line-stop signal and the joints can be checked manually."
