nlocking the ecrets of a uccessful ecurity System
An intruder detector system will detect the presence of an intruder but doesn't verify the source of the intrusion or notify anybody to deal with the situation. There are different methods of verification; visual, sequential and audio. Sequential verification is the least accurate with the police only being notified once two or more sensors are activated. Alarm systems are in effect useless if they don't notify somebody that the alarm has been activated. What happens if it’s a false alarm and the police are notified to attend a scene that doesn’t require their assistance? We look at new technology in this field and what is being done to alleviate this problem.
of these cameras come with software called Axis Camera Companion, a built in SD card and HD image quality. Cameras can operate independently with this software, without the need for extra equipment. It is even possible to plug in the camera and then watch the live feed from your PC, laptop, tablet or smart phone. This new software and camera package, offer the consumer a more affordable option for visual verification and a much better return on investment. Audio verification cuts the need for
cameras altogether and uses sound to identify if an intruder has triggered the alarm or if it's a false alarm.
