Pets Corner needed to replace the manual inputting of data and improve their filing, archiving and file-share facility. YourDMS were called in to solve this issue, freeing up employee resources with time that could be better used in other parts of the business.
Pets Corner, established in 1968 and with 76 stores nationwide has now changed its processes following an extensive meeting to assess the issue and identify potential solutions with YourDMS when Finance Director Iain Dougal was looking to streamline the business. YourDMS recommended an automated data extraction process.
They introduced a bespoke programme which combined Abbyy Flexicapture, performing the data extraction, Invu Document Management and Workflow for easy storage, retrieval and management of all information. Pets Corner has seen a significant benefit. A manual process that once took four weeks is now completed within four days and they have made a saving in the region of £30,000 ‐ £40,000 per year and greatly enhanced their customer‐supplier relations and improved discounts from suppliers on products. matter of days. Not only are we able to accurately extract data from our incoming invoices to pass onto our accounts application, but we are also extracting, verifying and integrating to line item level.
