customer a recycled, sustainable product that at the end of its life can be recycled again – making it a closed loop product. Many European retailers are now looking to Green Cast to help them fulfil their own companies’ environmental objectives and targets.” Originally manufactured in just clear from 3mm to 25mm thick sheets, the range of sheets available has been extended due to its success both in the UK and mainland Europe. It now includes Opal and White opaque sheets, a full colour range – more than 50 colours available as standards (although some will be subject to minimum order quantities and availability) in both opaque and translucent colours.

The most exciting development is the extension of the Green Cast range to mirror the Madreperla Satinglas range of frosted acrylic sheets. Regularly

used in the retail environment for POP / POS applications Satinglas is a range of acrylic sheets that has a frosted finish on either 1 or both sides. This means displays do not show dirt, greasy fingerprints or scratches as easily and therefore are more long lasting. Satinglas is available in clear, opal, white and colours (both opaque and transparent). Green Cast has now got its own Frosted range so combining the benefits of the product type with the sustainability benefits of the Green Cast sheet. Amari’s Product development Manager – Jamie Manifold - commented- “Green Cast offers Amari and it’s customers a real chance to improve the sustainability of POS/ POP displays. Acrylic has long been seen as a “dirty” product, produced from oil and sold for scrap at low

values to be made in to a lower grade product. Now it can be used again and again to make high quality, visually perfect displays. The good news to the retailer and fabricators of these displays is the product is realistically valued and sold at market competitive rates to allow it to be easily integrated in to production.” Green Cast offers everyone a chance to improve their sustainability credentials and improve the image of the throw away society. For further information on Green Cast please contact your local Amari Plastics branch which can be found on the website – www.amariplastics.com. Note the only colour not available in Green Cast is Black – this can only be produced with a maximum of 70% recycled content.
