Daikin UK provide a total HVAC Solution at new Warrington store for The Range.
Easter 2013 saw the opening of The Range’s latest store in Winwick Road, Warrington’s retail park. Originally a fitness centre, the 7800m² space needed four old swimming pools to be filled to make the retail floor and a 400 metre running track had to go. The 12 year old gas boiler also had to be removed as new requirements were needed for the heating and cooling of this new store which offers a variety of mid‐priced goods for the modern home including furniture, lighting,

efficient heating and cooling system for the customers and staff of The Range. At the back of the shop is a VRV IV heat pump, a VRV Low Temperature hydrobox, a 200 litre hot water tank, a mechanical ventilation heat recover unit (VAM), VRV fan coil units and a 1.5kW electric back‐up heater. There are VRV IV condenser units and Self Cleaning Roundflow Cassettes with decoration panels across the shop floor. A Daikin Sky Air Seasonal Smart condenser is fitted in the lift motor room to provide high levels of seasonal efficiency. The lift motor room was fitted with a

71 self cleaning cassettes. The VRV IV heat pump is set to operate within a set temperature band with the system thermostat automatically switching off to save energy. Brad Hurter representing the CDS Group, commented: “We were very happy to work with Daikin UK to incorporate one of the latest fully integrated renewable systems with operation flexibility.”

Daikin Sky Air Seasonal Smart condenser to provide high levels of seasonal efficiency. A wall mounted heat pump and condensing unit is installed in the office. At the back of the shop, the MVHR unit extracts stale air from inside, replacing this with fresh air from outside. Heat is recovered to reduce the load on the system and increase efficiency.
Altogether seven twin module VRV IV heat pump condensing units were fitted internally to the shop floor with a total of
