New works to help the water environment included band screens, compactors, new washwater facilities and intel-
ligent motor control equipment, housed in an odour-controlled, covered inlet works building. The project, completed under budget and on programme, was achieved through multi- disciplinary teamwork and close integration on and off site. Trant was appointed in 2010 as an AMP5 framework contractor to deliver a programme of works for Wessex Water.

Commenting on its financial performance, VINCI Construc- tion says: “In the current economic climate, this strong performance says much about our increased market presence
and brand recognition. Indeed, we believe that the company is no longer perceived to be a collection of separate compa- nies, but rather a unified and cohesive business.”
A key focus area for VINCI Construction UK in 2012 has been to make the company leaner, fitter, faster, more efficient and cost-effective. “... It is critical we improve our ef- ficiency and productivity, “ says the company.
