Leaders 2013 | 3 Comment

Welcome to The leaders 2013, our

annual survey of the lead- ing water industry contrac- tors. We have taken an in- depth look at the leading 60 civil and process en- gineering companies that serve the water sector in this supplement that is big- ger and better than before. It’s great to see a great deal of optimism being dis- played as companies speak of strong order books and their thoughts on AMP6. Totex is the big talking point and it is getting com- panies thinking about more than total operating costs. There is talk of innovative and flexible solutions – and closer collaboration.

AMP6 is also likely fea- ture smaller, capital main- tenance programmes as a drop in high-value Capex water infrastructure pro- jects.

AMP5 has less than two years to play out and tra- ditionally a dip would be emerging.

But contractors are talk- ing of early engagement with the water companies, and contracts are being awarded that will overcome this tradition. Finally, if you believe that your company should be featured in The leaders and has been omitted (uninten- tionally) please let us know.
