From the Editor I
tʼs always exciting being on the threshold of a New Year. You never know quite what the coming year has in store, but there is one thing thatʼs set in stone. Printwear & Promotion LIVE will be taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, from February 24th to 26th, and it would be fantastic to see you there. If you havenʼt already registered, it couldnʼt be easier. Simply visit
www.printwearandpromotion.co.uk/visitor and complete the online registration. And for a taste of whatʼs coming up at the show, make sure you read next monthʼs Printwear & Promotion, which will feature the full show round-up!
As a team, we always all look forward to the show and catching up with old friends. Itʼs also a great chance for us to meet our loyal readers and advertisers. With the promise of 110 stands, there is more than enough to keep visitors occupied at this yearʼs show. In fact, thereʼs so much to see in one day, itʼs worth considering a stop-over so that you can make the most of everything the show has to offer. And donʼt forget that the show opens on a Sunday, so if youʼre a one man band, thereʼs no need to shut up shop to attend. Weʼve just put the finishing touches to our seminar programme, and this year, some of the presentations will

include live demonstrations, which is a bit of a departure. Our thanks go to Colin Marsh and Dr Andy Hancock from Resolute DTG; Susan Ringrose from Target Transfers; Pete Buffham from Wicked Printing Stuff; Joe Wigzell from Roland DG and the team from Wilcom for agreeing to share their expert knowledge with visitors.
In response to requests for more screen printing articles, we have a treat in store this month. We welcome on board a new screen printing columnist, Kes Cracknell, of Ram Promotions – and he certainly knows his stuff. In his first column, Kes has some tricks of the trade for printing on hoodies. Reporter, Sara McDonnell, has also been investigating
ʻcomputer to screenʼ printing, which Iʼm assured (by those who know!) is the next big thing.
And, I spent a delightful day at Stuart Morris in Suffolk, which specialises in screen printing textiles for top notch clients, including English Heritage and the National Trust. We also get Stuartʼs verdict on his new gas dryer, supplied by MHM. I hope you enjoy this monthʼs bumper Whatʼs New issue! Have a great month and I look forward to seeing you at Printwear & Promotion LIVE.
