Live food printing packs stand at IBA
R
esolute DTG are well known for drawing in the crowds and while working at the IBA 2012 show in Munich this autumn, Resolute MD Colin Marsh witnessed how well the live food printing demonstrations were received.
This was the first public sight of on demand direct to food printing on this scale. Despite the hustle and bustle the printers performed perfectly printing hundreds of cakes and chocolates throughout the week.
Printing directly onto food is a new concept whch launched in the UK at the Bakers Fair on Sunday, October 7th, in Harrogate.
Printed food is a highly sought after product in the corporate branding and event sector, before now only possible by means of printing onto sugar paper. Resolute have taken it one step further with the Direct to Food printing process opening up all sorts of possibilities. The DTF process can print on uneven surfaces like cookies, macaroons, cakes, chocolates, wafers and many others. As a promotional item food also ranks high in the products people will remember from events they attend.
Resolute showed a concept food printer at Printwear & Promotion LIVE 2012 and
since then they have been working on the R-Jet Midi F, which is now ready to launch. With a range of more than 300 food decoration products exclusively available in the UK from Resolute, the food business is set to take off at a great speed.
Demonstrations are available in Resoluteʼs Chesterfield showroom with food blanks, EU approved food inks and the printers all available to purchase on site and on-line.
The R-Jet Midi F is an out of the box process, the package has everything you need including software and two sets of ink. The R-Jet Midi F priced at £3,990 (correct at time of going to press), means adding branded food to the promotional products you supply is a quick and economical way to this exciting new process.
Said Resoluteʼs Colin Marsh: “We realise this is a long way from printing T shirts and the promotional items market is quite saturated. Adding food into the equation is another string to any business looking for an edge over the competition. “We predict fulfilment companies will be quick to introduce the service running alongside their other processes including direct to garment.” n For more information visit
