FAULTLESS: Ideas Unlimited can’t fault the Graphtec GB CE5000 cutter for performance in a demanding environment. It is said to offer “problem-free, uninterrupted running”.

Cutter ups the tempo at Ideas Unlimited

G

raphtec cutting technology installed at North Kent-based Ideas Unlimited is helping increase productivity and enhancing this companyʼs reputation for quality and reliability.

Established in 1995, Ideas Unlimited is a relatively small but innovative producer of printed garments for both corporate customers requiring high-volume output and private individuals requiring personalised leisurewear.

The company purchased a Graphtec GB CE5000 cutter following recommendation by TheMagicTouch, a prominent Graphtec GB dealer and long-term supplier of cutting solutions to Ideas Unlimited. Proprietor Pete Sparrow commented: “Because of the cutterʼs reliability and capacity for working non-stop on a daily basis, downtime on breakdown or maintenance is zero which makes turnaround on orders much quicker and enhances our reputation as a reliable supplier.”

The CE5000 series of cutters offers production capabilities normally found in more expensive machines and shares many of the features of the higher-end FC8000 series of cutters but is designed to help small companies grow via cutting technology that does not require a huge up-front investment.

Like all Graphtec cutters, the CE5000 incorporates Graphtecʼs proprietary ARMS 4.0 (Advanced Registration Mark System) that provides four-point rather

than the traditional three-point registration marks, leading to greater accuracy and higher productivity as a result of reduced material wastage and increased material utilisation.

Furthermore, the systemʼs dual-axes correction and four-point registration mark sensing ensures high-precision cutting of images that may have become distorted during the printing process.

The CE5000 operates at speeds of up to 1,000mm/sec, has acceleration of 21.2mm/sec and shares the same cutting force of the FC8000 at 600gf. The machine has a maximum cut area of 603mm x 50m and will accommodate a wide range of media up to a thickness of 0.25mm.

It will process virtually any material used in the printwear and promotional products sector, including flex, flock, vinyl, rhinestone and a wide selection of fabrics.

Pete Sparrow added: “The Graphtec cutter has performed faultlessly under the most demanding conditions. We recently completed an order for 600 bespoke garments that was required within a five- day time frame. Each garment had three different designs and the Graphtec cutter worked virtually non-stop to enable the order to be completed on time. I cannot recommend this cutter too highly as a truly reliable workhorse solution, with problem-free uninterrupted running a real bonus.” n For more information visit www.graphtecgb.co.uk
