to over 125 fantastic visual displays, 100 acres of illuminated magic and more than a million twinkling lights. The City of Yukon begins preparing for “Christmas in the Park” in early September. It is a combined effort of Santa’s elves from several city departments. It’s a breathtaking experience, whether by car, on foot or by horse-drawn wagon ride. This fantastic holiday light display will surely become your favorite. It opens annually the Saturday before Thanksgiving and concludes on New Year’s Eve. Be delighted from 6-11 p.m. nightly.

Yukon’s three lighted parks are great


for tour buses, church groups or anyone searching to really “jazz” up their holiday experience. Costumed Christmas characters, a merry refreshment stop or a “bright” and dazzling guided tour can be arranged if your group desires a magical touch to your special evening. Iron Thistle Scottish Heritage Festival Iron Thistle Scottish Heritage Festival and Highland Games,


presented by the United Scottish Clans of Oklahoma is held the last full weekend in April. Graciously sponsored by the Kirkpatrick Family Fund and the City of Yukon, it is held at the Kirkpatrick Family Farm near Garth Brooks and Vandament in Yukon.
