Yukon Yukon’s Best in Education - a Five Star System


Excellence in education is the


commitment made by the Yukon Public Schools to the citizens of Yukon, Oklahoma. The Yukon Public School District, located west of Oklahoma City, provides an excellent education for over 7,500 students Pre-K-12. Covering 68 square miles, Yukon Public Schools is comprised of twelve campuses: nine elementary schools, one middle school, an alternative education high school, and a 9-12 high school.


The Yukon Public School District


is fully accredited by the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Further, Yukon High School is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges


and Secondary Schools. Yukon Public Schools has received the highest rating – a FIVE STAR ranking – in each of the fi ve categories: Community, Curriculum, Facilities, Staff, and Students.


COMMUNITY


Yukon’s greatest resource is truly its people. Since


its organization as a township,


the citizens of Yukon have believed in providing the highest quality education for their children. The tremendous amount of parental support for the schools is one of the key factors that give Yukon Public Schools a FIVE STAR Education Rating.


Helping Hand Volunteers is a model


program for other schools. Thousands of volunteer hours are contributed to better educate the youth of Yukon. In addition to the volunteer program, each of the nine elementary schools, one middle school, and the high school enjoy the efforts of very active parent-teacher support organizations.


Components of the Yukon Public


Schools that are integral to the relationship between the school and the community are many. Yukon Public Schools is nationally known for its Helping Hand Volunteer program and the Yukon Community Education Department.
