ABOUT THE POSITION:


Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Finance, responsibilities of the AVP and Budget Director include the following: Preparation of the annual University-wide Asking Budget and Working Budget in

conformity with University, Board of Regents, and State policies and all other applicable laws and regulations. Professional guidance and assistance to College and Divisional level staff in revising and administering state operating budgets.


Budgetary advice, planning, and analysis to executive level personnel including the


President and the Vice Presidents. Staff support to the University Finance Committee, the Committee for the Review of


Student Fees, and other key campus committees and work groups including enrollment management, information technology, business process redesign, and planning. Representation of the Associate Vice President for Finance as needed in the role of staff to the Chief Financial Officer function of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING: Graduate degree from an accredited college or university.

Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) is seeking, a full-time, non-tenure track lecturer and program coordinator in the Center for Biotechnology Education for our Master of Science in Biotechnology and Certificates in Biotech- nology Education. The program coordinator’s primary responsibil- ities will be focused on graduate student advising, recruitment, and working with international students. Duties include participa- tion in online and onsite orientation and recruitment events, and establishment and oversight of a student advisory board. The program coordinator will serve as the liaison with School of Education (SOE) for the Certificate in Biotechnology Education and will work closely with the SOE advisor for the Certificate in Biotechnology Education. As a lecturer, the faculty member will teach two courses each year. The courses could be taught onsite or online and may include teaching laboratory courses. The Biotechnology program coordinator/lecturer will assist the Program Director for Biotechnology in various activities including outreach to institutional fellowship partners, program promotion and outreach, and coordination withAAPsupport staff..


The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a field related to the life sciences, and have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders. The coordinator must have prior teaching and advising experience, preferably at the graduate level. The position requires travel between JHU’s Homewood and Rockville Campuses as needed.
