G & B Fissaggi focuses
on high quality
G & B Fissaggi, based in Turin, Italy, says that its GEBOFIX
PRO VE-SF Vinylester, styrene free, resin is a high quality
bonded anchor for high performance, which is CE OPTION
7 approved, for applications on non cracked concrete with
threaded bars and rebars.
G & B Fissaggi highlights that the GEBOFIX PRO VE-SF is suited for fi xing
medium and heavy loads on solid and hollow supports: stone, concrete,
aerated concrete, solid and hollow bricks.
It is suitable for applications with threaded bars and reinforced bars,
applications on wood and metal carpentry, and for the fi xing of facades,
railings, pipe connections and profi les.
“The GEBOFIX PRO VE-SF grants a safe fi xing and high load values even
on semisolids and hollow supports. It is also DIBT approved for application on solid and hollow bricks, Fire Resistance F120 approved, and
certifi ed for applications in fl ooded bore holes.”
Available sizes include 300ml, 350ml and 410ml cartridges and storage temperature is from 5°C up to a maximum of 25°C. The storage
life for the 410ml and 350ml cartridges is 18 months, and for the 300ml cartridge (foil tube) it is 12 months.
Chemfi x gains the seal of approval
Chemfi x Products Ltd, based in Dewsbury, UK, is poised to launch a revolutionary cartridge dispensing system
for its range of chemical anchors at the International Hardware Fair Cologne in February.
Chemfi x explains that its patented ChubSeal
®
cartridge system offers safer cartridge opening and
improvements in the fi lm packaging, eliminating leaks and odours in storage.
Chemfi x says it developed the innovative idea from customer feedback. “Our international distributors
worked with us to identify end-user problems and the Chemfi x research and development team solved
them” said Urs Joos, managing director.
By working with its suppliers the Chemfi x team designed a self opening cap that it says not only speeds
up the use of the cartridge but also protects the user from any cutting blade injuries.
Available in 165ml, 300ml and 380ml - 410ml sizes, the ChubSeal
®
cartridge is also designed to minimise
plastic packaging used in its manufacture, a requirement for Chemfi x’s current ISO 14001 application. “The
worldwide construction industry certainly saw a downturn during 2009, however we saw this contraction as
an opportunity to innovate and develop new products,” said marketing manager, Andrew Stewart.
The company says it is unique in controlling its own supply chain, by not only manufacturing resins
in-house but also moulding its own cartridges and static mixers. “Only by having control over all our
processes can we give a total service to our partners” said Urs Joos.
Roberlo plans to build on 2009
In 2009 Roberlo launched the Polyfi xer EP, a new injection mortar based on pure epoxy resin, which it says can
be used for the highest demanding applications in terms of embedment depths or strong warm climates. The
product is packed in 400ml and 600ml 1:1 cartridges.
During 2009 Roberlo also set up two fully automated production order to adapt to a wide fi eld of applications.
