Resin with double
EC-ETA certifi cation
Bossong has introduced the BCR V-PLUS, a new chemical resin that has
a double EC mark, for threaded bar applications and those with
improved adherence bars.
In the fi rst case, the homologation of a product based on ETAG 001, option 7,
(ETA - 09/0140), for diameters going from M8 to M24 for galvanised steel threaded bars
(strength classes from 4.8 to 12.9) and stainless steel (A4/70, A4/80 and high corrosion);
in the second case, homologation was based on Technical Report TR023, technical reference
document for applications with post-installed improved adherence bars, in compliance with
EC2 (EN 1992-1-1:2004) ETAG for diameters from 8mm to 32mm.
BCR V-PLUS is a bi-component vinylester, styrene-free chemical resin suited to be
used on concrete and other sub-layer types like solid brick, holed brick and wood.
The product’s technical information includes load data for the different diameters,
the different sub-layers and different fi xing depth values to respond to the design needs.
Bossong explains that the BCR V-PLUS has three great advantages over competitor products on the market at present:
• Use in the presence of water, in fl ooded hole situations with threaded bars and in wet concrete for improved adherence bars.
• Applications at three different anchoring depths included in the ETA to give design high fl exibility.
• The resin was certifi ed with high operating temperature tests allowing it to reach maximum short-term temperatures, during
anchoring lifespan, of +80°C /120°C and maximum long-term temperatures of 50°C/ 72°C.
BCR V-PLUS comes in cartridge sizes 400ml, 345ml, 300ml and 165ml to be used with the specifi c extrusion pumps/pistols. Sizes
from 300ml to 165ml can be extruded using simple silicone pumps/pistols, and size 825ml is available on demand with a non
homologated plastic cartridge.
MEA has the right chemistry
MEA Befestigungssysteme GmbH says that its MEA
®
MIS-V
chemical mortar, which ensures expansion pressure-free
fi xing of heavy loads close to edges, and even in thin walled
components, is a prime example of its improved line of
products for chemical fi xing.
MEA explains that with the MEA
®
MIS-V chemical mortar injection
system it is possible to fi rmly anchor threaded and anchor rods, bolts and
screws of all kind in perforated bricks, solid stone and concrete. There is a
choice of four cartridge sizes containing 165ml, 300ml, 345ml and 410ml.
“We have developed our own display and despatch box especially for
MEA
®
MIS-V 300 Vinyl cartridges, which provide the perfect means for
dealers to show off the product.”
The MEA
®
MIS-V chemical mortar is a vinyl-based synthetic resin
cement with environmentally friendly contents (styrene and phthalate-free).
MEA also points out that the MEA
®
MIS-V chemical mortar is temperature
resistant up to 80˚C and is building inspectorate approved, as well as being
a fi re protection tested product.
In the next few month MEA anticipates obtaining a new European
technical approval for the vinyl resin with a larger fi eld of application
(M8-M30, wide range of steels for anchor rods) and much improved
load values.
