Fastener Fair
Budapest 2010
set for growth
“Second Budapest show is set to see impressive growth
following the success of ‘trail-blazing’ event in 2008.”
Great things are forecast for the second Fastener Fair Budapest exhibition,
which will run on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th September 2010 at the SYMA
Event Centre in the heart of one of Europe’s most vibrant cities. Following
the success of the fi rst Fastener Fair Budapest in 2008, which attracted 171
exhibiting companies from 26 countries and just under 1,500 fastener and
fi xing industry professionals, Fastener Fairs is confi dently predicting signifi cant
growth for the next show in Hungary’s capital city.
One of the main objectives of that fi rst show in 2008 was to provide
the international fastener and fi xing community with a platform from which
to investigate how best to do business in central and eastern Europe. For
2010, Fastener Fairs has applied everything it learned from the inaugural
2008 event to make 2010 an even better show. “We’re armed now with a
greater understanding of the regional market and what its industry expects.
We are also clear that Fastener Fair Budapest has a signifi cant role to play as
an event for buyers from throughout Europe to contact and do business with
regional manufacturers of fasteners, fi xings and also a wide variety of cold
forged and turned special parts.”
The 2008 show established a fi rm foothold in central and eastern Europe.
The show’s professionalism and trademark networking generated future
interest in the region from potential visitors and exhibitors, as well as putting
it on the radar in the international fastener and fi xing community. Over two
thirds of 2008 visitors were decision-makers with purchasing authority –
2010 exhibitors can only expect even higher calibre and volume of visitors
now the show and venue has proven its worth.
Fastener Fair is sticking with the popular and centrally located SYMA
Event Centre but this year’s show will be staged in its biggest exhibition hall.
The additional space means that Fastener Fair is able to lift the previous limit
on stand size and readily cater for space only stands, where exhibitors have
the opportunity to present their company without restriction in design or size.
“In Budapest, we have a very solid foundation on which to build,”
says Fastener Fairs. “In 2008 we met the market’s demand for a focused
exhibition that put fastener and fi xing companies in direct contact with
distributors, manufacturers and key buyers in the fast-developing markets
of central and eastern Europe. This time we are further developing the
show to provide an outstanding opportunity for fastener and engineering
manufacturers in the central and eastern European region to really project
their capabilities to an international audience. Additionally, we know that
an event of Fastener Fair’s repute will provide the ideal venue for local
wholesalers and distributors to network with their day to day customer base.”
These added dimensions mean that Fastener Fair Budapest takes on an
even more signifi cance, a fact refl ected in the comprehensive marketing
program planned throughout Europe and beyond.
“Taking place on 6th and 7th September 2010, Fastener Fair Budapest
will be the next global event dedicated to the fastener and fi xing sector, and
probably its most important one in 2010. It will be even bigger, even more
international and – because Fastener Fairs are not just about hard work –
even more fun, too!”
