64 FLOOR & WALL FINISHES

Boardwalk created using JB Antislip Plus L & L Installations has recently installed JB Antislip Plus decking on the £1.1m Nutwell Boardwalk in Exmouth. The scheme consists of a bridge and cycle path along the Exeter to Exmouth railway line. L&L Installation used John Brash’s Redwood timber deckboards with three JB Antislip Plus inserts to provide a durable and slip resistant surface. The decking helped create a 550m long boardwalk for cyclists and walkers in this beautiful part of South Devon. L&L Installations has worked with John Brash on a number of decking projects across the country and is one of the leading timber engineering and joinery contractors. Kronospan Bolsters Stoneline range

Kronospan has revamped its Stoneline range, more than doubling the number of available decors. The new options, which comprise a wide choice of shades and textures, have been introduced following the success of the original collection of natural looking stone finishes. Originally created by Italian designers, the Stoneline range has been refreshed by the addition of eight new decors: Castle Stone, Ironworks, Blue Stone, Cemento, African Pantanyo, Mocca, Farmhouse Tile and Limestone. Kronospan’s Commercial Manager, Nick Barker, explained the move: “The demand for stone finish laminate flooring is strong, hence our decision to extend the range. We want to provide the widest choice, as well as the highest quality, and we are confident that these latest carefully selected decors will further increase the popularity of the Stoneline collection.” Click here to request literature

An authentic finish

Resin Surfaces Limited (RSL), has supplied its market leading products for a refurbishment project at a world class, open air museum in the West Midlands, where the 300 m2 automotive workshop has been given a heavy-duty floor. The Black Country Museum, located in Dudley, is designed to provide visitors with an authentic impression of everyday life in industrial Britain. As such, the automotive workshop required a sturdy, traditional flooring system. Flooring contractor, Flo- Dek (UK) Ltd, laid the installation using RSL products. To give the workshop an authentic feel, high build solvent free Resucoat was installed. Resucoat is ideal for workshops and industrial locations due to its hard wearing and chemical resistant properties.

Ideally domestic Fleximats EcoCoin, the flexible floorcovering from Plastic Extruders, has been used as the centerpiece of an unusual domestic barn conversion. Originally designed as a cost- effective solution for covering large areas in industrial and commercial applications, innovative and cost effective EcoCoin was chosen because of its contemporary look, clean lines, uniform finish and three- dimensional hard-wearing surface and dense base.
