New Rubber Seal Jointing System
Polypipe Water Management Solutions (WMS), has supplied its new Ridgistorm-XL rubber seal jointing solution for a new Prison complex in Bridgend, Wales. Available for pipe diameters from 900-1200mm, the new rubber seal offers an alternative to Ridgistorm-XL’s patented electro-fusion jointing system and on certain projects can improve the jointing time on smaller diameter pipes in the Ridgistorm-XL range. Over 170 metres of 1200mm Ridgistorm-XL which uses the new rubber seal joint have been supplied to attenuate surface water run-off from a car park area at the new Parc Prison.

Twickenham, ‘The Home of Rugby Union’, has been undergoing a massive redevelopment of the South Stand in order to increase capacity and also to incorporate exciting new 21st Century facilities, including a 4-Star hotel. One aspect of the new structure, however, marred this accomplishment, and it was the galvanised steel gutters running down from the top of the stand and around the rear perimeter of the roof, which in severe weather conditions were prone to leaking. Obviously something had to be done. And fast! Which is when Carillion, the main contractors on the project had a word with their roofing contractor, who in turn recommended H D Sharman’s Rubberised Plygene Gutterline.
