If you want to discover some of the world’s
wild places and cannot afford the time off
work to explore too far from Europe then
go to the Shetland Islands. Breathtaking
scenery shaped by nature and hostile
weather, an enchanting culture that has
been shaped by Norse and Anglo Saxon
tradition and a natural environment lived
at above 60 degrees North. I have been
there three times twice by yacht and each
time it has been great to arrive and each

time I have not wanted to leave, such is the

out of danger but also to be sure you see
