2015. “I loved that the process was so quick,” said Miller. “I couldn’t wait to start my dream, so I was beyond pleased with the speed in which the build-out happened. A lot of it had to do with the information and resources I received at Patterson Blueprint.”

Between experiencing the equipment at the event and consulting with Rockey, Miller had chosen most of the equipment in her hospital before she left GPS. “Seeing the equipment hands-on is far more helpful than looking at a book,” she said. Of all the equipment, she’s happiest with the digital dental and body X-ray. “I can get answers right away,” she said. “I can take the image and know immediately if we got what we needed.”

Miller’s new practice is two former office spaces in a small shopping center that were combined into one large space. Walls were demolished, a new plumbing system was installed and the electrical system was rewired. Once the structure was complete, design decisions were made regarding colors, materials, furniture and flooring. Earth tones including soft beiges and greens were chosen with epoxy floors for the treatment area and exam rooms. “I would recommend epoxy to anyone,” said Miller. “I’m so happy with it. It’s durable, there’s no odor, it’s easy to clean, looks beautiful and has enough grip to keep pets from slipping,” she added. Large photo canvases of Miller’s pets and her friends’ pets cover the walls, creating a warm and inviting environment that showcases the importance of the relationships between people and their animals. >>
