16 Merritt Students Win Trip to Nation’s Capital

Merritt High School juniors Ashlee Carr and Tristan Dornon are kicking off their sum- mer vacation this year touring Washington, D.C. as winners of NFEC’s annual Youth Tour competition. Carr and Dornon, along with runners-up Emma Guy, Erick High School and Colton Reed, Sweetwater High School, submitted es- says on the topic “Is there something you believe is truly worth ¿JKWLQJ IRU"´

Youth Tour is an all-expense paid week touring the nation’s capital with more than 70 Youth Tour winners from other Okla-


homa electric cooperatives. Carr and Dornan will tour historic places and national landmarks, along with meeting with Oklahoma’s Congressio- nal delegation, and Youth Tour winners from other states. This year Youth Tour is June 10 through June 16.
