Stay Informed During A Power Outage

Kiamichi Elecric's online outage map shows outage restoration in real time

how the restoration effort is going. T

By logging on to Kiamichi Electric's website and clicking on the outage map link at the top right corner of the page, you'll know how many outages are located in your area and how quickly repairs are taking place. As power is restored, dots on the map will change color to indicate the number of members affected.

O Blue dot O Green dot

= 1 member = 2-10 members

O Yellow dot = 11-100 members O Orange dot = 101 - 500 members O Red dot

= 500+ members

Shannon Veerkamp, KEC information technology (IT) manager, says as outages are reported or repaired, the map changes within seconds. "Members won't see the exact location of each outage, but they will be able to tell how many outages are reported in their vicinity and how the restoration process is progressing."

he next time you experience a power outage, you won't have to sit in the dark and wonder

There are two ways to view KEC's live outage map.

1. Download KEC's smart app and view it on any smart device.

2. Vsit www.kiamichielectric.org and click the outage map button at the top right of the home page.

To view outages across the state, visit www.oaec.coop for a map that includes your local co-op outages and others.

KEC members can view the outage map by using KEC's smart app or by visiting the KEC home page at www.kiamichielectric.org.

KEC outages will also appear on the statewide electric co-op outage map at www.oaec.coop. The statewide map gives members "the big picture" when a major weather event strikes multiple counties. For members with family or friends in other areas, it's another way to check on their well being.

KEC's outage maps is one more way your co-op strives to stay connected and keep you informed.
