Signs Positive for Large GIFA, NEWCAST Exhibitor registrations and space


booking for the metallurgy trade fair quartet GIFA, METEC, THERM- PROCESS and NEWCAST 2015 are at a similar high level as the last stag- ing in 2011. As “Te Bright World of Metals,” the four events will provide a complete overview of the international metallurgy market June 16-20 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. Te four trade fairs concentrate on metals and their complex, innovative processing methods. Overall, some 2,000 exhibitors will present the latest technology and cutting-edge innova- tions in 12 halls. GIFA and NEW- CAST cater specifically to metalcast- ers and buyers. GIFA 2015, the 13th International


Foundry Trade Fair with Technical Forum, will cover 462,800 sq. ft., and NEWCAST 2015, the 4th International Trade Fair for Precision Castings, will


span 64,600 sq. ft. GIFA will be divided into diecasting


and peripheral equipment, gating and feeding technology, foundry chemistry, mold and coremaking, and foundry machinery and plants. Te Technical Forum will provide high-quality lectures and conferences with emphasis on the latest technical innovations from research. Top global players in the industry


to participate in GIFA 2015 include German manufacturers Bühler, Frech, Hüttenes-Albertus, Foseco ABB Auto- mation, Künkel-Wagner, Heinrich-Wag- ner/Sinto and ASK Chemicals, Italian company Italpresse, Austrian company Fill, Spanish company Loramendi and the Danish company DISA. Launched in 2003, NEWCAST


contains castings presentations in the exhibition halls and a forum to provide insights into the technical and scientific


progress in metalcasting technology. It focuses on ferrous and nonferrous metal castings, with trade representa- tives, logistic companies and service providers presenting their products. Te American Foundry Society (AFS) will be involved in the trade fair in a number of ways. Te organiza- tion will host a booth at GIFA where attendees can browse and purchase metalcasting publications and resourc- es, hear lectures from industry leaders and congregate with old and new ac- quaintances. AFS publication Modern Casting also will be hosting a booth for its Global Casting Magazine. In NEWCAST, AFS will be exhibiting award-winning castings to showcase the capabilities and innovative casting designs of North American metalcast- ing facilities.
