Saxonair rifle celebrates English rule
British airgunmanufacturerDaystate has unveiled its latestoffering, the Saxon Limited Edition rifle,designed to commemorate the 950th anniversary of the end of Saxon rule in England.

nChristmasDay,1066, the Saxons’ governance of England came to an
end with the coronation of theNorman KingWilliamI (better known asWilliam theConqueror) and a line of kings and queens of England unbroken to this day. Te Saxon air rifle,whichmarks
this auspicious event, is also the launch model of the newly revised and improved Wolverine 2 that will be released early in 2017. TeWolverine 2 will update the current
model introduced three years ago,with the new version featuring a revised valve systemand newGaryCane stock, together with other improvements that bring this popular rifle right up to date. It also incorporates all the existing and
establishedWolverine safety features, such as bolt-open safety, anti-double- loadmechanismbuilt into themagazine indexing systemand a centrallymounted safety catch. Add to that a bolt systemthat can be
changed fromright to left inminutes by the user and you have a rifle that is fully ambidextrous as well as extremely safe.

Te Saxon Limited Edition’s styling is intended tomimic colours and patterns
used in theAnglo-Saxon era and incorporates etchings and words in both Anglo-Saxon and Latin – both languages were in use 950 years ago. Te specialised finish fromone of the
country’s top anodising companies as well as an exclusiveHuggettmoderator from Huggett Precision Products inCambridge is enhanced with a beautiful new stock fromGaryCane’sTechwoodDesign studio inNorfolk,while beingmanufactured in amulti-colour laminate wood expertly crafted byMinelli ofMilan. To further enhance its exclusivity, the
Saxon comes with a valuable bespoke custom-made hunting knife, forged in a period Saxon langseax style by renowned knifemaker RHarrington of Bison Bushcraft,based in the town of Battle near Hastings,where the foundry is just yards fromthe 1066 battlefield. Tis bespoke rifle and accompanying
hunting knife is limited to a worldwide production of just 150 rifles/knives before the full launch ofWolverine 2 succeeds it in early 2017. GTW
