Knoebels is nifty at 90!
Pennsylvania park was born on Independence Day 1926 as a simple offering comprising the Crystal Pool, a carousel and a few food stands. Since then, it's remained a place where families can go for some good old-fashioned fun without breaking the bank but now features as many as 63 rides, a 900,000 gallon (3,406,871 litre) pool, 35 food stands, two campgrounds, a golf course and more. The park's classic wooden rollercoasters and grand carousel are among its most popular attractions. Brothers Dick and Ronald (Buddy) Knoebel and sister Leanna Muscato have owned and operated the park for years, but now the fourth generation of Knoebels to work in the park – Dick's sons Brian and Rick and Buddy's son Trevor – have taken on increased responsibility.
