idec Global Appliance (GA), the Nidec business platform behind the Embraco HVAC&R
brand, has named Ricardo Bristotti as its new president, tasking him with driving the next phase of global growth and strengthening the platform’s portfolio across refrigeration and HVAC markets. Bristotti has spent 15 years across the appliance and industrial sectors, beginning his career at Embraco in 2011 – prior to its acquisition by Nidec in 2019. His roles have spanned Strategic Planning, Supply Chain, Business & Marketing and, in 2021, he became Vice President of

As president, my focus will be on accelerating growth in both the commercial refrigeration and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) segments, while continuing to strengthen the market presence of our portfolio for residential, food service, medical and industrial

The company says his leadership will centre on development, customer proximity and enhancing the competitiveness of its existing brands and solutions. “We have a solid portfolio and highly skilled teams to respond to the industry’s current deep transformations. Our focus will be to expand further what we do best: develop technologies and innovations to create solutions that
help our customers deliver more energy effi ciency, reliability, and sustainability to the market,” Bristotti added.

ooltech has appointed Harrison Figgins as National Service Manager, taking charge of the company’s site services and after-sales support function. Figgins previously played a key role in shaping Kooltech’s site services and after-sales division, and now returns to lead the team with a focus on strengthening engineering resources, enhancing contractor support and refi ning service standards across the UK.
Chris Wilding, National Business Support Manager at Kooltech, said many in the industry will recognise Figgins from his earlier tenure. He noted that Figgins’
technical knowledge, understanding of customer needs, familiarity with the Mitsubishi Electric product range and alignment with Kooltech’s culture position him well to drive the next phase of after-sales development.
Figgins said he was pleased to return to the business. As HVAC systems and regulations grow more complex and engineering resources remain under pressure, he said contractors increasingly rely on dependable technical backup. Strong after-sales support, he added, helps protect project timelines and contractor reputations.
