Oyster, launched by Conex Bänninger back in 2002, is becoming increasingly popular amongst a new generation of installers.
Suitable for a wide range of applications, including the installation of transitional adaptors and valves, it can also be used to quickly repair damaged sections of pipe. As a fl ame-free fi tting, no hot works permit is required. Installation is quick and easy using >B< Oyster pliers and a standard adjustable spanner. Two EPDM O-rings seal against the tube and fi tting, ensuring a reliable, leak-free joint is achieved. Oyster is available in nickel-plate, as well as yellow and
red brass. Designed with male parallel threads, this allows connection to a wide variety of ISO 228 parallel female threaded fi ttings.
Once the tube is fi tted, it can be rotated through 360° whilst maintaining a reliable, leak-free joint. This makes it ideal for installers when working in tight spaces. >B< Oyster is demountable. WRAS approved, Oyster is available in sizes from 15mm to 54mm and has a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar. When installed correctly, it is guaranteed for 25 years.

Visitors to the Conex Bänninger stand (5C30) at InstallerSHOW 2026 will benefi t from an enhanced interactive experience as the company builds on the success of last year’s event. The award-winning MaxiPro will again feature, with details of a
new addition to the range being made available. This year marks the 10th anniversary of its introduction internationally. Other key products on show will include Press Copper, Press,
Oyster, Press Inox XL, Press Gas, and Conex Compression. A refreshed stand will feature two large media walls/screens, which will be showing a series of videos, including a brand new MaxiPro video, the OEM division of Conex Bänninger and footage from last year’s event.
Visitors can go ‘head-to-head’ in a fun new game called the Oyster shuffl e, whilst installers will have another opportunity to create their own viral copper bottle opener using the company’s acclaimed Press fi ttings. Giveaways will include branded water bottles and kneeling pads. Five product clusters will be another stand feature with
defi ned areas for plumbing/heating, multi-disciplinary, specifi cation, ACR and stainless steel.
