The collaboration has combined practical action with longterm community benefi t, installing 1,500 heat pumps and supporting 40 homes at Embassy Village while also investing in future skills. Through collegebased training, school engagement and handson professional development, the partnership is helping to build a workforce equipped for the region’s lowcarbon transition. Its impact is already visible in improved housing support, strengthened local capability and a model of communityfocused delivery that demonstrates what coordinated industry action can achieve.

he Environmental Initiative of the Year award was presented to Roadvent, developed by Carrier and Pollution Solution, recognising a project that brings


HVAC expertise directly to the challenge of urban air quality. Roadvent captures traffi c pollution at street level, drawing in contaminated air, fi ltering it through advanced airhandling technology and returning cleaner air back into the community. Trials have demonstrated meaningful reductions in realworld exposure, off ering a practical intervention in areas aff ected by high roadside emissions. With its fi rst installation planned for Lewisham in 2026, the initiative signals a bold new direction for HVAC
