Almost two thirds of people looking to invest in a franchise are in full-time employment

n Kare Plus has sold fi ve franchise territories in as many working days last week, taking the total number of territories sold in 2017 so far to 14. The healthcare franchise sold territories in Blackpool, Teesside, Ipswich, and Loughborough, as well as in Dublin, which is Kare Plus’ fi rst territory in Ireland. There are further opportunities available across the UK. With over 70 offi ces already operating in the network, Kare Plus is set to reach 100 territories in the coming months. Vikki Donnachie, head of franchise sales, says: “Since we have launched our

new website and marketing campaign, more and more people are hearing about Kare Plus and the multi-service healthcare opportunity we have available. “Dozens of potential Kare Plus franchise owners have been in touch to fi nd out more about our unique, sustainable and multi-income healthcare franchise model and, on top of those territories we have already sold this year, there are many more people looking to pay deposits in the coming weeks. “Interest has been so high, we have had to increase the size of our franchise sales team to keep up with demand!”

Comment Is it important to speak to existing franchisees?

“Speaking with a brand’s existing franchisees is a vital aspect of the due diligence you should undertake before investing in a franchise. It will give you a more in-depth impression of the experience of running the business, particularly the day-to-day operations. “It will also allow you to ask questions about the franchisor’s conduct – have they delivered on their promises? Do they give adequate

support to businesses both at the start and ongoing? “You should ensure that you speak with a range of franchisees in order to paint an accurate picture of the franchisee experience, not just the most successful. A franchisor should be willing to provide you with access to anyone from their network in order to provide you with an clear and all- round perspective.”
