Mac Tools Toolbox Trucks take to the road
n Mac Tools has rolled out its new line of Toolbox Trucks. There are currently two trucks operating across the UK – one in the North and
one in the South – and will be used to showcase the range of toolboxes available. Franchisees across the country are enjoying the benefit the interest creates
when the Toolbox Truck arrives in their location. Mac Tools franchisees have been
promoting the arrival of the Toolbox Truck in their respective territories to maximise on the visit.
Maria Batchvarova, brand marketing executive, says: “The Toolbox Truck generates a lot of excitement and buzz in each franchisee’s territory, helping them to make high-value sales. “The toolboxes are a huge stream of income for our franchisees, so, prior to the visit, we provide them with free marketing materials, such as flyers and posters, to display in their vans to let their customers know that the truck is on its way. “It’s a great way to build and maintain long-term relations with new as well as the existing customers. In addition, the Toolbox Truck provides a great introduction to the Mac Tools business and tells new customers and potential franchisees what we do and what we can provide.”
Turtle Tots franchise bags brand-new qualification
n Turtle Tots has been selected as one of only a few tutors to be the first to deliver the Level 3 Diploma in Aquatic Teaching in 2017. The baby swimming franchise’s network
of more than 45 licensees across the UK and Ireland has already completed the new course, which has been developed by the Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA)
alongside Birthright and several leading UK baby swimming experts. The company is currently finalising coursework with all of its 200 teachers, who will achieve the diploma qualification over the year. This development comes in line with the news that the franchise has reached record numbers of babies attending its award-winning baby swim classes.
The aim of the diploma, which
is regulated by Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), is to raise the standard of baby and preschool swimming across the industry by expanding and developing the knowledge of baby swimming teachers in light of the most recent research and academic theories surrounding neuroscience, child development and pre- verbal communication. Co-founder of Turtle Tots Gaby Lixton explains: “We’ve always been committed to ensuring that our teachers are among the most qualified in the country and we intend to keep it that way. The new qualification means Turtle
Tots’ teachers will need to have at least 50 hours of teaching experience before being accepted to complete the diploma, at which point they will need to complete rigorous coursework and case studies as they incorporate the knowledge and skills they have learned into their lessons.
