1.1 Aims of this Document 2.

3.

This document provides information to support the Statement of Community Consultation (SoCC), provided as Appendix A, for East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm and associated development.

The document provides information on the proposed strategy for consultation with local communities in accordance with Section 47 of the Planning Act 2008 and guidance on the pre-application process published by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) in January 2013. The document explains how we have identified who to consult, the consultation methods proposed and the proposed timeframes for consultation.

4.

This document and the SoCC have been issued for consultation with relevant local councils, namely, Suffolk County Council, Suffolk Coastal District Council, Mid Suffolk District Council, Babergh District Council, and issued for information to Norfolk County Council, Essex County Council, Waveney District Council, and Ipswich Borough Council in accordance with Section 47(2) of the Planning Act 2008 and DCLG guidance.

5.

As East Anglia THREE comprises both offshore and onshore elements, this document and the SoCC have also been issued to the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) for information.

6.

Once finalised, an advertisement for the SoCC and associated Public Information Days (PIDS) will be placed in the East Anglian Daily Times, the Eastern Daily Press, the Ipswich Star and Fishing News and in local libraries. The document itself will also be available online as well as being distributed at local libraries. This supporting information will be available to the public on the project website.
