There are two scenarios for the installation of onshore cables for East Anglia THREE:  Scenario 1: use of pre-installed ducts; or


 Scenario 2: open-trenching for cables for East Anglia THREE and installation of ducts for East Anglia FOUR.


14. The two scenarios considered are based on the following assumptions:


 For Scenario 1 it is assumed that ducts would be installed for the East Anglia THREE cables during construction of East Anglia ONE. These would be installed along the entire length of the onshore cable route and all HDD operations would be undertaken at the same time; and


 For Scenario 2 it is assumed that the whole of the onshore cable route would consist of open cut trenches for East Anglia THREE and installation of ducts for East Anglia FOUR.
