FROM THE PUBLISHER

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome to D.O.M. magazine’s fi rst issue of 2017! We hope you had a great holiday and

are ready to make 2017 a great year. At D.O.M. magazine, we are optimistic it will be a great one. You may have noticed the helicopter focus of this issue — and it’s for a good reason! Many of our readers manage helicopter maintenance facilities and/ or helicopters that are used for specifi c purposes such as law enforcement, search and rescue, electronic news gathering, fi re fi ghting, emergency medical, corporate shuttle and more! D.O.M. is not just for fi xed-wing — it’s for directors of maintenance and aviation maintenance managers who work on all types of fl ying machines.

This issue will also be distributed at 2017 HAI Heli-Expo, which will take place in Dallas, TX, March 6 – 9. D.O.M., along with our sister publication Helicopter Maintenance magazine will both be at the show and we would love for you to stop by our booth (Booth #1708) so we can meet you. But that’s the beginning of what

we have planned for this year. We will be attending several other shows to include MRO Americas April 25 – 27 in Orlando, FL, NBAA MC (Maintenance Conference), May 2 – 4 in West Palm Beach, FL, EAA AirVenture, July 24 – 30 in Oshkosh, WI, and NBAA BACE, Oct. 10 – 12 in Las Vegas. In addition, you can usually fi nd us in attendance at the NBAA Regional forums as well as some of the IA renewal seminars. And just when you thought we were

providing a full complement of issues for the year, we are adding an additional

digital bonus issue in November of 2017. This will bring our issue count to 11. Our August digital issue last year was a success, and we look forward to providing you with EVEN MORE of the information that you expect in each and every issue! Our digital issues off er the advantage of being able to download to your iPad or tablet for convenient reading at your leisure. In addition, you get the benefi t of being able to watch technical videos and supplemental links provided in our articles as well as video messages from our advertisers plus the ability to link directly to their websites for more information on their products and services. Registering on our website

(www.DOMmagazine.com) allows you take advantage of our digital issues, plus you can manage your subscription to D.O.M. magazine, renew your subscription, or select if you want to receive emails and newsletters from us. Remember, our digital issues are an addition to our print editions. We will still continue to provide nine print issues for those that prefer to read our magazine in print. We thank you, our readers, for

starting the New Year off by reading the leading maintenance publication in the industry, and we thank our advertisers for supporting D.O.M. as we begin our 9th year of publishing. As always, feel free to contact any of the

staff of D.O.M. if you have any questions or would like to see specifi c stories or coverage in YOUR magazine. Have a great 2017, and Thanks for
