The WTM Wellness Lounge hosted the WTM Wellness Speed Networking, providing an opportunity for domestic and international travel buyers’ to visit wellness exhibitors. New for this year, the event united Wellness Lounge partners with more than 40 high-calibre buyers. Senior Director, Simon Press, said: “Although once a niche market, spas and well-being centres are becoming central to mainstream travel products and the WTM Wellness Lounge highlights the growing representation and importance of wellness tourism. “Our speed networking sessions have worked really well in other sectors and the WTM Wellness Speed Networking session is the perfect opportunity for domestic and international buyers to visit exhibitors in a series of mini-meetings.”

WTM BLOGGERS’ SPEED NETWORKING DAY

100 of the world’s leading bloggers held mini-meetings with exhibitors to discuss ways to increase the exhibitors’ media exposure.

Held in association with

Traverse, World Travel Market Portfolio Press & PR Manager Paul Nelson said: “The number

of bloggers attending World Travel Market has increased dramatically over the past few years as the power and influence of bloggers continues to grow stronger.” Bloggers were seated in one main category – e.g. Luxury travel, adventure travel or food

travel – to simplify the process and to help the exhibitors to quickly find the bloggers that were important to them and who meet their needs.

Meetings typically lasted

around seven minutes allowing exhibitors to meet with key, independent bloggers.
