A healthy start for WTM Wellness
The inaugural WTM Wellness Lounge in association with Spafinder Wellness 365 this year proved to be a big hit with exhibitors from all over the world, keen to raise their profile on a global stage. Taking place on 4 and 5 November, the WTM Wellness Lounge, which offered suppliers an exclusive platform to meet contacts and conduct business in the comfort of the dedicated hub, sold all of its allotted space more than three months ahead of the show.
Among the many benefits, the package included use of private pods within the lounge, a networking breakfast with wellness buyers and suppliers, an online networking tool to connect with the wider WTM audience and promotion in the WTM Catalogue, WTM Route Planner and online Exhibitor Directory. WTM London, Senior Exhibition
Director, Simon Press said: “The success of our new Wellness Lounge reflects the rapid growth of the wellness industry generally. The global wellness market is now valued at $3.4 trillion* and is growing fast… Seeing the success of the lounge demonstrates how the industry is eager to have a high-profile platform to negotiate and conclude deals.”
John Bevan, Chief Operating Officer of
Spafinder Wellness, Inc.® said: “We knew there was a great demand for a Wellness Lounge as the inaugural conference programme last year was very well attended. It is gratifying to see the wellness and travel industries working together, to help both markets to do business.” Two wellness seminars were held on Day Three of WTM along with the Wellness Awards and here we summarise the sessions.
