Tania’s presentation centred around how Evolution Gaming protects the integrity of its games using automated surveillance, including in-house developed state-of-the-art red flag systems and software solutions to detect abnormal betting strategies that may indicate cheating, collusion and advantage play. Michael Barnett kicked off proceedings on the first day of the event. Mike is a world-renowned game protection expert with extensive knowledge of advantage play and a forensic approach to game analysis.
Over the past several years Mike has worked with a number of casino giants, equipment manufacturers and regulators. He is the leading authority on roulette prediction techniques and one of the foremost experts in advantage play and technical cheating in the world.
Mike explained that while online gaming offers far smaller advantages, fraudsters can attack with much greater precision and vastly higher volume than in a land-based casino. He discussed the differences between sifting data for advantage play online as opposed to scouring over recorded monitor footage in the land-based environment, and that fact that while land- based players use camoflguage to hide their advantage play, the data from online gaming play “never lies.”
