Sylvain Boniver, CEO GAMING1
Sylvain Boniver is co-founder and CEO of GAMING1. After five years at Liège Business School, he founded his first company ProduLine, which specialised in mobile marketing. In 2012, after 10 years of growth, he sold it to a group in Holland.
In 2003, Boniver co-founded PRODUWEB where he was CEO until 2012. The company quickly became one of the leading full-service web agencies in Belgium.
In 2011, PRODUWEB and ARDENT GROUP created a joint venture called GAMING1. As CEO, Boniver oversees the development of the company’s market-leading technology proposition, as well as strategically partnering with land-based gaming operators in different regulated markets around the world.

For those new to Gaming1, how do you summarise your business and what defines the solutions you provide?
Gaming1 is a full service partner that specialises in high performance online casino and sports- betting projects. We provide a complete range that enable operators to establish, promote and improve the results of their sports-betting and casino websites. Gaming1 was created by an land-based operator with 20 years’ experience, which means that it is in our DNA to focus exclusively upon land-based operators who are looking to take their business to the next level by moving online. Gaming1’s USP is our partnership with land-based operators. We are not seeking to sell as many platforms as possible, but rather we select partners that are established regulated land-based companies.
Gaming1 provides everything operators need, from the set-up of an online casino platform, to marketing support, extensive consultancy services, customer service, risk and fraud management and CRM - all the services that you need to run an online casino operation. Our team is comprised of graphic designers, engineers,

marketing experts, etc., all specialists in providing every aspect of online gaming on behalf of our land-based clients, extending their business into online so that they can face the competition coming from purely online companies.
What have been the key deals and agreements created by Gaming1 thus far?
Our most important projects include our agreements in Belgium with Circus Group and Circus .be, in Portugal with Estorial Sol and in Spain with Grupo Orenes, one of the leading groups in the country with 200 gambling halls, 20 bingo halls and eight casinos. In a lot of countries, land-based operators see online as a threat, but they are the ones with the real knowledge of their market; they know all the players, understand their preferences and know how to entertain them. However, they are not skilled in operating an online business and are fearful of stepping into this environment.
Our approach, in whichever country we operate, is to create a partnership that links together land-based and online. We explain that we’re not looking to harm their land-based business, but rather grow their global business. Te fact that we can show just how successful we have been in Belgium reassures them that we are a good partner that speaks the same language. We know how land-based casinos work, we understand the issues that they face and how to provide tailored solutions for their business.
