WATER / WASTEWATER 15

New range of probes for aqualculture industry Aquaread Asia will be releasing a new series of Aquaprobes for the aquaculture industry.

The AQUAMARINE-MULTI kit provides measurements for pH, ORP, dissolved oxygen, conductivity (salinity), temperature and allows further expansion for measurement sensors like depth, chlorophyll, blue-green algae, turbidity and etc.

The multiparameter probes are designed to be fl exible, they can easily be attached to handheld meters to perform fi eld measurements, while also allowing you to use it with Aquareads blackbox for continuous process measurement.

The AQUAMARINE-DS probe provides measurement for dissolved oxygen, conductivity (salinity) and temperature, where salinity and temperature changes are automatically compensated to achieve accurate readings, especially in saline water conditions.

With their rugged construction use of Marine Grade Aluminium, the probe is able to withstand the demanding conditions of marine and fresh water aquaculture applications. The simplicity of use allows operators of all backgrounds to easily manage their water quality data using our probes. From fi sh and shrimp farming, to hatchery applications, proper monitoring of water quality parameters ensures optimise water conditions, thus reducing fatalities and increasing your yields.

Measurement and documentation

of water quality simplifi ed Systronik’s new CAPBs®

device kit can be used to check water quality, assess water supply installations and check heating systems for corrosion damage. The WQ 10 sensor module makes it possible to determine temperature, electrical conductivity, permissible overall hardness (sum total of alkaline earth metals) of fi lling water and the requisite heating water pH setting. This makes it possible to test, safeguard and document the quality of the water on site at any time in order to prevent damage caused by corrosion and limescale during set-up, operation and maintenance. The TDS value (sum total of dissolved substances in water) and the salt content can factored in to the measurements. Thanks to the automatic temperature compensation and measuring range changeover, the sensor offers a high degree of measuring accuracy.

The measurement data is transmitted to the EuroSoft® live app on smartphones or tablets using Bluetooth and displayed

in real time. PDF measuring reports together with the date and time can be produced directly from the measurements. These can be stored on iOS and Android terminal devices and transmitted. Additional information such as the customer name or even your own signature can also be added to the measurements. This provides maximum protection in the event of damage.

New data loggers detect water losses early

email: For More Info, email: email:

Leaks in water pipe networks can result in signifi cant water losses. Thanks to systematic monitoring of the network with Herman Sewerin’s SePem® data loggers, you can reliably identify existing leaks and catch new ones early on – much faster than with conventional methods.

In relation to the size of a measuring area, the volume of water initially escaping from a new leak is usually so low that it cannot be clearly distinguished from minimum night-time consumption when measuring the fl ow. In practice, many months often go by before the size of the damage is great enough to produce a fl ow volume that can clearly be identifi ed as a leak.

SEWERIN’s SePem® The SePem®

100/150 can report the leak after just one night. 100 data loggers with integrated aerial are perfect for mobile use in the water pipe network. They are

placed on fi ttings at measuring points in a specifi ed section of network and record the level for a programmable period of time during the night – usually half an hour. The loggers are collected in the next day. The measurement data is transmitted to the SePem®

01 Master by radio. Noticeably high measurement values indicating a leak are immediately

fl agged up by an audible signal. This is a reliable way of detecting existing leaks. The data loggers are then successively inserted in other sections of the network until the whole network has been checked.

The SePem® external aerial and are permanently fi xed to fi ttings. The SePem®

150 data loggers are designed for the stationary monitoring of water supply networks. They have an 150s record the minimum level every night for a

programmable period of time, for example half an hour. The locations are periodically patrolled, for instance daily or weekly, when the noise loggers send their data telegrams to the SePem®

01 Master. Unlike the mobile application, there

is no comparison of the absolute levels of two measuring points, but rather a relative change in the level at a measuring point means that a new leak can be very quickly identifi ed.

Hand-held photometers

Milwaukee handy photometers are inexpensive, have user friendly, ergonomic case design, large and easy to read display, good accuracy and immediate results.

Chlorine is the most commonly used water disinfectant. Applications vary from treatment of drinking water and wastewater and food processing to sterilization. MW10 is for measuring free chlorine and MW11 is to measure total chlorine.

Iron is naturally present in water supplies and therefore needs to be monitored both in potable and industrial applications. Milwaukee offers the MW14 Iron meter with a range of 0.00 to 5.00 mg/L.

Phosphates are present in natural waters in levels that normally do not pose any specifi c health threats to humans. However, excessive contamination of water courses from agricultural fertilizer or wastewater/ effl uent discharge happens more and more often. Milwaukee offers MW12 with a range of 0.00 to 2.50 mg/L.

Iodine is used as disinfectant in various applications - one of the most common is the poultry industry wastewater treatment. Milwaukee offers MW13 with a range of 0.0 to 12.5 mg/L.
