The two choirs are directed by Helen Brind. The role of Elijah will be sung by Dorset-based bass, Jonathan Prentice, with the other solo parts being interpreted by tenor Paul Smy, mezzo-soprano Kate Howden and soprano Carrie-Anne Williams.

Broadstone resident Gerry Robinson is preparing to
take part in his 20th Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride on Sunday 2nd July.
Gerry who is now in his 84th year, is currently the most senior rider taking part in the annual event. Over the years Gerry has cycled a number of different distances, including 75km on his 75th birthday. In 19 years, Gerry has raised over £13,177 for Macmillan through the event, and in 2016 he was the top fundraiser, raising £1,020.
All the usual distances are included in this year’s event: 10, 25, 38, 48, 60 and 100 miles.
