There’s a new restaurant in town...
The Pizza Box is a local family-run restaurant offering authentic Italian thin crust pizzas, stone baked in our oven.
Catering has been in my family for years. We love cooking and learnt to cook Italian food in Italy. Our pizza journey started in our mobile pizza van. We did really well and used to get great feedback, so it was a natural progression to our own restaurant.
As a nurse, I am very aware of making sure our food is as nutritious as possible. Our pizza dough is handmade onsite and we have created our own thin, low calorie base, with no added nasties. In fact, if you opted for our vegetarian pizza with goats cheese it would come in at just 500 calories!
Keen to pass on our love of food, we offer cooking demonstrations to clubs and groups and are happy to host children's parties and large group bookings.
We like to try new things, we make our own paté and reguarly change our specials. We are very aware of special dietary requirements and offer gluten free and vegan friendly options. Our hygiene is exemplary, and we were really proud to be awarded a 5* rating in March.
You may have visited when it was BYO, but we have our alcohol licence now and are hoping to transform the premises next door into a wine bar, where cheese and meat platters will be served in a cosy social setting.
We are open from 12 noon onwards and currently offer a 7" pizza with a soft drink for £6.95, or with a coffee for £7.50 at lunchtimes. Eat in or takeaway (10% off collection), we'd love to see you!
