Broadstone Fields In Trust
I can’t believe we are now only two months away from this year’s Broadstone Family Fun Day.
Time is rushing past and the committee has just a few meetings left to get everything in place. Broadstone Recreation Ground will host the event again, on Sunday 2nd July from 12noon to 4.30pm.
We are delighted to confi rm that McCarthy and Stone has agreed to take on the headline sponsorship of the event, so we can cover the considerable costs in running the event, and concentrate on delivering the best ever Fun Day, and raising money to invest in our sport and recreation facilities in Broadstone.
We are also really pleased to showcase some new arena acts – Shine Academy of Performing Arts and Poole Symphonic Concert Band – and we are thrilled that the popular Broadstone Schools Samba Band will be returning. Full details of the line-up in the arena will be fi nalised soon and a programme will be available on our website and Facebook page.
We are also offering a £100 cash prize just for coming to the Fun Day as well as lots of games and stalls with other prizes on offer and plenty to do for children and adults. If your organisation or company would like a stall, drop me an email and we will send you an entry form, or get in touch via Facebook.
Dogs are very welcome at our event, they have their own Fun Dog Show running all day organised by and raising funds for WolfDog Rescue, so get training your pooch now for their moment of glory. No need to book, just turn up and register on the day for the classes that suit.
If cars are more your thing, we have something for you
too....classic, vintage, sports and unusual vehicles are all welcome, with a fantastic Car of the Day prize available....email us for an entry form – it’s totally free!
As usual, the one area we are struggling to fi ll is our volunteer list! We simply cannot run the event without marshals, help to set up, entrance desk and parking support. If you can give us just one hour of your day, anytime between 8am and 5pm we would be so grateful and you can enjoy the rest of the day at the event.
So grab your diary, book out 2nd July, make a picnic or enjoy lunch at our BBQ or Hog Roast or Wood Fire Pizza stand, and spend it with the rest of Broadstone helping us to make this the best Broadstone Family Fun Day yet!
