Pics 1 and 5. Place your weight into the ball of the left foot and the arms will drop to a point where your gloved hand is opposite to the right thigh (left for lefties). Now the shaft will be parallel to the ground and more or less parallel to the target line.

Pic 2. Deliver the club to the ball and your left side will now be firm but feel the ground under the ball of your left foot.


Pics 3 and 6. Hips start to clear out of the way which allows the club to exit down the target line with the arms moving left.


Pics 4 and 7. Finish in a balanced follow through with the right shoulder through the gate but your hips still inside. Notice how relaxed the final position is - no loss of balance and no strain on the lower back.
