GROUP TRAINING CLASSES Tabata Training
Lisle Recreation Center Athletic Space • 1925 Ohio Street, Lisle
Tabata training is new type of high intensity interval training designed to get your heart rate up in that anaerobic zone for short periods of time. The reason? This type of workout helps you burn more calories both during and after your workouts. Tabata training follows a specific format of 20-seconds on, 10-seconds off, in 4-minute increments, after which a longer rest period is provided. Although this is a high intensity format, modifications are made for those just looking for something different! This is a fun and different approach to exercise and the time will fly
by.Give it a try!

There is scientific evidence that shows the benefits of weight-bearing exercise on bone density. We reach peak bone density in our twenties and begin to lose it in our thirties. This is especially true without proper exercise, diet and with a family history of osteoporosis. This class takes you through a wide variety of light weight bearing exercises to help you stay strong and healthy. Our instructor, Jen Young, holds a Master’s De- gree in Exercise Science and conducted her graduate studies in the effects of exercise on bone density.
