This instructor led one evening course will cover all the main components of the Apple Operating System, with emphasis on El Capitan and Sierra. This course provides an enlightening overview and introduction on how to work with your Apple computer. Take advantage of all the features your sys- tem has to offer. Topics covered include the Dock, Spotlight Search, Safari, Handoff, App Store, Finder Tag, Keychain, Mission Control, AirDrop, iCloud, The Notification Center, and many others. In addition, tips and tricks for using your Apple laptop or desktop will be covered.

Get tips on how to tune up your PC and get it running like new! Learn how to be checking for and cleaning up spyware and viruses. Also getting your PC to boot faster and run better, as well as some useful tips and tricks in Windows. Become skilled at backing up your most important data, pictures, documents and music. You will also learn what to look for when buying a new computer.

PRIVATES LESSONS: Private lessons can be one of the quickest ways to learn tennis. With one-on-one instruction, students can pick up the game quicker. You have the option to bring a friend or relative to join in on the fun and split the cost. Private lessons are for 1-3 students at a cost of $40 per hour. Lessons can be broken down into 30 or 45 minutes of instruc- tion. To schedule a private lesson, please email Erica Wise, Athletic Manager at ewise@lisleparkdistrict.org.


ADULT BEGINNER


For adults with little or no previous instruction. We will cover introduction to strokes, stroke improvement including serve and volley. 30 minutes of instruc- tion and 30 minutes of coached play.

Our blacksmiths will supply materials and safety equipment. It is suggested that you provide your own gloves and safety glasses for personal fit and comfort, though we will provide standard gloves and safety glasses. You must wear leather shoes and clothing made of natural fibers; long sleeves are suggested.

Prerequisite: Basic Elements of Blacksmithing I or significant expe- rience in basic blacksmithing. This class will further develop your skills in the processes of forging to a specific dimension, fullering, punching holes, texturing, scrolling, and drawing a taper in our Blacksmith Shop. Bring home your own handmade project from this 3-hour class!
