Gourmet food box company opens new Exeter shop

Served Here award scheme for restaurants T is year, the Soil Association has launched Organic Served Here: an award scheme for restaurants, cafes and eateries to celebrate their commitment to using organic ingredients. T e Organic Served Here scheme assures customers that restaurants source between 15% and 100% of their ingredients from certifi ed organic suppliers, giving them a one to fi ve star rating.
T e fi rst awards in England have already been given – and right here in the South West too. T e three Better Food cafés in Bristol have received 4 stars in recognition of their commitment to sourcing sustainable food by using 93% organic ingredients. T e three cafés – which serve breakfast, lunch, hot drinks and snacks – champion local organic producers such as Godminster Cheese, meat from Adey’s Farm in Gloucestershire and vegetables from T e Community Farm in North Somerset. With dishes ranging from £3 to just £8.50, plus children’s meals priced from £2, Better Food’s menu demonstrates that eating sustainably and ethically need not break the bank.

Go Wild & Grow Wild at Farrington’s this Easter!
Farrington’s Farm Shop are excited to announce their Go Wild – Grow Wild activities running throughout the Easter holidays.
T is new spring event combines traditional Easter activities with outdoor educational play and seasonal home-made treats bringing families together for a great day out.
Children can make an air-dried clay plant pot to fi ll with soil and wild fl ower seeds donated by Kew Gardens that they can take away to enjoy in their homes and gardens.
Admission is £5 per child and includes free entry to Cowtastic Farm Park and animal trail with baby animals to get up close with. T e fee includes an Easter Trail with chocolate prize and tractor and trailer ride. (Entry to Farm Park and trailer ride are weather permitting).
Go Wild – Grow Wild takes place at Farrington’s Farm Shop from 10am – 3pm daily, from Saturday 8th to Sunday 23rd April. (Closed Easter Sunday).
