LOVE LOCAL
have gone through a cycle – support tailed off a little while ago but it has now returned with renewed vigour. We have a very loyal following and it’s particularly good to see the younger generation, including students in Falmouth, shopping at the market regularly.
What is your favourite produce to buy from farmers' markets, either in Truro or when you're visiting other markets in the South West? Here in Cornwall we have a great selection of fresh seafood. Kernow Sashimi specialise in top quality sustainable fish, landed by small day boats from Helford, Coverack and Cadgwith. Chris and Dylan can be found at the market in Falmouth every Tuesday, and Truro every Wednesday and Saturday. Tey send most of their catch to top London restaurants, but I get my hands on it first at market!
