Thought of the week... I love taking school assemblies.
Kids keep you on your toes and stretch your communication skills to the limit. But there are other rewards too and I was given one again this morning. I had gone into one of my local
schools to say “thank you” and to challenge the children to be kind. I had all the material I needed - a piece of toast. Now that may sound a little daft but I can never forget that some twenty years ago a group of children from the same primary school discovered that I was part of a group that was seeking to help a group of

introduced to a six year old boy who had been exceptionally kind this morning, so much so that I since named him “Mr Kindness”. And as he looked at me with disarmingly innocent smile he whispered “Kindness is my life”. And I thought “If only that were
true of me” for the world would be an infinitely better place if more of us could say that.
