of Milford Haven - the most active and well-established club in West Wales as well as, overall, one of the largest women’s voluntary service organisations in the world - will be supporting Prostate Cymru this year under the leadership of their president, Katherine East. At their well-attended Christmas

Griffiths and John Daniels, of the Pembrokeshire Friends of the charity, to talk about the charity’s work and about prostate cancer. Also present was Lynda Brown from


Milford Haven, who is the District Chair of the Inner Wheel. Milford Inner Wheel members


have a wide range of activities planned. There is a major event planned for Friday, April 28, during which the Radio 2 gardening guru Terry Walton, of the Jeremy Vine Show, will host a Gardener’s Question Time at the Beggars Reach Hotel, Burton, in aid of Prostate Cymru. Prostate Cymru are funding


research and innovation across Wales to ensure that Welsh men suffering from prostate diseases will have access to the best available treatments from the NHS in Wales.


Trophy Photographic competition was held on Monday (Jan 16), with eight clubs competing for the trophy. The judge for the evening was Leigh Woolford DPAGB, EFIAP, AWPF, who is also a member of the Gwynfa Camera Club, who were not competing in this event. The eventual winners were

thanked him for standing in at short notice to judge the second open


competition. Imants explained the judging was


difficult due to the high standard of entries; this was demonstrated by seven images scoring maximum points.


There were 23 prints and 24


Llanelli Camera Club with 96 points. In second place was Tenby and District Camera Club with 93 points and in third place was Towy Valley Camera Club with 91 points. Congratulations were given to Ali Rees and Dave Bolton of Tenby and District Camera Club for gaining maximum points for their images ‘What Are You Looking At?’ and ‘There, That’s Better’. On Thursday (Feb 2), there will


be the Judging Creative and the hand in of black and white images.
