he outstanding contribution to Pharmacy Award showcases and celebrates achievement


among the community pharmacy sector in Northern Ireland.


As well as highlighting the ever increasing contribution that pharmacists make in the wider healthcare arena, this special merit award is aimed at identifying appropriate role models, who both inspire and motivate others.


In launching this special merit category we were looking to recognise an individual who has had a sustained career, who has not only made a very significant contribution to the pharmacy sector, but who has also been an inspiration to their peers.


Judges are particularly looking for evidence of someone with a level of dedication that goes above and beyond the call of duty.

the recipient of this award last year was loretto mcmanus from Erne Pharmacy. Needless to say, loretto was delighted with this recognition.

‘Initially, I was very overwhelmed to receive this award,’ she said on the night, ‘but that then turned to being very proud. I am especially proud and delighted to receive this award as it has been a nomination from my peers and colleagues. I was having a lovely, relaxing evening and was very much enjoying watching the other winners collecting their trophies! I really was not expecting this, but it is very welcome and I am humbled to receive it.’
