Derry/Londonderry h Sweeny’s staffing structure is designed in such a way, as to ensure that whilst the safe delivery of medicines continues to take place, that there is an emphasis placed on providing an excellent level of customer service for patients. All staff members have, for example, undergone training on taking blood pressure and this frees up the pharmacist’s time to spend the maximum time possible in interaction with patients through its forward-facing dispensing model. A move to new premises has seen a marked increase in the patient base, with an increase of circa 20 per cent in prescription figures since the move.

Trench Road, Derry/Londonderry located in a densely population area of Waterside – an area of great social and economic deprivation – the lloydsPharmacy trench Road is a high-volume dispensing and retail business, with high uptake on all enhanced services. the team want to change the way people access healthcare and to provide a more holistic approach to services. creating this positive environment with a strong service and product offering is giving the trench Road community exactly what they need. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this has translated into sales, with otc growing by three per cent on last year.
